Welcome to the home of Super Earth

The following posts showcase the line of characters I've created or deigned worthy of belonging to my all inclusive universe of heroes called "Super Earth."

All of these characters were created by me. Most of the designs are of my own creation as well. Some of the designs are not. Through my course of creating micros, there has been a lot of discussion over creator's "rights" as far as credit is concerned. To be honest, in my humble opinion, if your characters or designs are not copyrighted, then there is no real "legal" obligation on my part. There are some designs out there that I DO like, and I will use them in my own creations. If you see some of your designs, or the designs of someone you know in my work, take it as a sign of respect that I liked the design so much, I used it in my own little universe. Do not request micros be taken down. They will not. Do not request credit. If I can remember to whom the credit should be given, then I will give it. If not, too bad. If all of this makes you feel uncomfortable, then you don't have to visit my site...

For the most part, just enjoy these creations for what they are. I'm not making ANY money off of these—I'm just doing this for fun. SO, you have fun as well.

Tell me what you think, and enjoy SUPER EARTH

DO NOT POST THESE MICROS ON ANY OTHER SITE!

What are these called?

Mister Patrick Bleau first brought the question to mind.... What are these "microheroes" called? They're not quite microheroes....

Thoughts?

I thought maybe they could be "Micromic Heroes". Get it? Micro Comic Heroes? Does that work?

Thoughts? Again?

Maybe, I could even make some "Micromics", starring my micromic heroes. Digital, pixel comics with micro comic heroes....

Thoughts? Last time?

My brain is working furiously....

I have 6 templates done, and they look horrible. I've shipped them off to Santi to "polish" and "tighten", but, he won't be able to work on them for a while, because he's moving. So, I'll keep making my templates, and sending them to Santi, and when he gets them worked over, I'll post them.

Have fun and stick around...

New Templates and a Happy New Year

So, I'm going to take a little break here. Not long, and I WILL be back. I've started working on a "template set". I've grown tired of all of my guys being the same size, especially when they should all have different body builds and skull structures. So, I've decided to make a template library of 30 different male and female templates. I will add the templates as I complete them, so updates won't be completely gone...

Happy New Year, everyone. Best and brightest to you and your families in the upcoming days....

Merry Christmas

I'm off for Christmas to be with my parents and siblings. My wife and I get to take our newest son to Grandma's for the very first time. Along with my older son, we will all have a wonderful time.

As you know, I am not the most PC of the bunch, and hope to be simply realistic. As for me and my house, we will worship the Lord. That being said, MERRY CHRISTMAS, one and all. May the Lord bless you this coming year, and bring joy to your families....

The High Five

Last post before the holidays, I've finished the High Five...

Doctor Varia, the creator of the Variant Process, transforming ordinary humans into superhumans through the manipulation of the genetic variable found in everyone's DNA, started his program with one initial team. These five individuals were hand selected from student volunteers. They were the first people to become "Variants".

After their transformation, he taught them to use their powers for good, and they in turn, became instructors for the following generations of Variants that came through the process.

Great Dane - the leader of the team, he has the ability to project strong beams of plasma from his body.

Jolly Roger - ability to steal others powers. Also, strength and speed.

Alter - strength, stamina. Also has the ability to shift opponents' powers, either stronger or weaker, altering their ability to use them.

Mona Lisa - Telepath, strength, hand-to-hand combat.

Glimpse - Speed, strength and stamina.

Now, obviously, the "Variants" are my versions of "Mutants" The High Five would be the core, initial X-Men, and the other teams from it would be X-Factor, New Mutants, etc. Nothing surprising. Doctor Varia is also a rip-off of Doctor Morituri, and his process is no different than the Morituri Process. So, esentially, this is a cross between the X-Men and Strikeforce: Morituri, two of my favorite titles in the 80s.

"Imitation is the greatest form of flattery."

So be it.

The Forever Five

The Forever Five, for me, was a cross between the Avengers and the Defenders. They were brought together by unfortunate circumstance that forced them to work as a team. After the initial battle and "team-up", they decided to work together, occasionally, as a team to battle evil and protect humanity and the planet. With the exception of Forever Man, all of the rest of the heroes on the team would appear in their own titles on solo adventures (of course, Kid Chaos would be with Mystico).

I had Cavalier, Mystico and Kid Chaos finished, a design already done for Baffler, and an idea for Forever Man. So, I finished the team. Another one completed and ready for the books....

the Warboys

What is a Variant? A Variant is a human being who has had the variable gene in their DNA sequence altered to spark superhuman abilities. Everyone has this gene. A person must simply decide whether or not they want to go through with the process and live with the abilities, no matter what they may be. You could be a telepath, or a rock monster. You must live with the powers, and there is no reversal. The variant procedure was developed by Doctor Varia in 2019. The process is so expensive, and consumes so many resources, that most of the candidates who go through with the process are government related and military based. But, the Doctor has also built his own "army" of Variants, who act as his guard, police and enforcers. ANY Variant who decides to use their powers for evil will be policed and hunted by Doctor Varia's teams to ensure that they change or be eliminated. The teams in Doctor Varia's army are the Southside Variants, the Revellers and the Chicago City Limits. He has a senior team called the High Five. They are the most seasoned variants, and have also lived with their powers the longest. There is a fifth team that has gone rogue. They used to be a regular team in Varia's army, but evil gained control. They battled a being known as Phantasmo, and lost. Phantasmo twisted their minds and abilities. Now, they exist in exile, on the run and spewing chaos wherever they go. They are the WARBOYS.

The Grand Reconstruction

I've been working on my project called the "Variants" and found myself running into a few snags trying to sort the stuff out in my head. I finally broke down and dug out my "Black Book" on Super-Earth from the mid to late 90s. This was when I was REALLY into making my own characters, but, hadn't discovered microheroes yet. Needless to say, microing hadn't even been invented at that time.

In digging out this book, I discovered a plethora of heroes, teams, concepts, story ideas and plot summaries that I had completely forgotten about. Wow. So much there, and so much work for me to do.

I've completed 4 characters from my Variant team called the Warboys. I have 2 more to do. Then, I'll get those posted before I move on to my next team, the Southside Mutants. Then the High Five, the Mystery Six, Berzerkers United, Star-Jump Marauders, the Revellers, Justice Order, Chicago City Limits, Forever Five and Worldwide Incorporated. In between working on the teams, I'll throw out some solo heroes like Gunn, Painkiller, National Anthem, Orange IV, Roboprez, Dynamo Jack and the Grusome Twosome.

I found that the heroes I thought were the Southside Variants were actually Berzerkers United, so I have adjusted the previous post to give a more accurate roster.

So much work, but, lots of fun. I am SO glad I dug this book out. I've got a lot to share with you!!!!

For your patience, I will give you ONE of the new Warboys that I am working on, so enjoy!!!
Hooligan

See you later...

The Variants...

I'm going to take a small break from posting for the weekend, as I prepare a new set that I've decided to finish. It's an expanded "team" of characters that actually encompass about 4 or 5 different groups. These include the Southside Variants, the High Five, and the Warboys, amongst others. Keep watching, I ain't going anywhere.

Thanks, also, for the comments, Pat and Santi. I'm glad you like them!!!

Here are three more new micros. They suck. I am not happy with any of them. But, it's all I have to offer right now. So, add them to your set, but, don't let them be your favorite. They don't deserve it.
Blindsight - A villain for Supernaut and Cavalier.

Cavalier - The chest was too big when I converted this design to the new template. So, I threw the big C in. Does it work? Does it not? I can't tell. All I know, is I don't like this version. I may have to remake it.

Excape - A member of Justice Order, this character was never really fleshed out in the Justice Order origin story by Controlled Orbit ;) .... Still not happy with how this one turned out.

Sorry for today's disappointing selections. I will have more good ones later this week.....

Klozone and Blue Star

As the title says....
Klozone - Supervillain

Blue Star - Cosmic Hero

Blog Settings....

I've adjusted the blog settings so that you don't have to be a member of any of those listings to leave a comment. So, feel free! I've also set the blog so you can now look at it on your mobile/cellular phone. You can now take Micro Creations on the go!

I'll have new micros later today....

New Stuff for the Week

New work, including one for a beloved Canadian, err, sorry, Quebecian friend of mine...
Capitaine Quebec

Here is one that you've seen before, so this is just an upgrade to the new template...
Zero Power

And this last one is a direct rip off of two micros that I've loved ever since I started collecting them. Original artist? I don't know, but, the colors and designs were enough to encourage me to make my own version, but, with a different name...
Captain Fusion

Template Redeux

Santi has come through again. He's edited my work with more attention to detail. Work from ANY of the templates, but, don't put the templates anywhere else, please!

Enjoy, and happy microing!

Three for the road...

Leaving for Chicago this weekend. My brother has a convention he wants to attend, so I'm going along for the ride. It will do me good.

So, for the long weekend, and until I make some more next week, here are 3 more....
Alter - This is a remake from one of my very first micros. He is a member of one of my "Variant" teams, the High Five.

Dangeroid - a random supervillain for the likes of the Baffler or the Secret.

Neuwalker - This is one of the seven members of one of my other "Variant" teams, the Southside Variants. The Southside Variants was the team that I had been working on for 20-25 years. I'm actually having problems actualizing the team, because the costumes are so dated, they look like crap when I try and make them into micros. Neuwalker's is the only one I have (of 3 so far) that looks any good.

The Southside Variants, when they are finished, will be comprised of the following members - Deadeye, Sidekick, Neuwalker, Gangway, Usher, and Battlecry.

The Templates...

So, these templates aren't 100% yet. Santi is helping me "perfect" them. But, until then, work with these. As suggested by Patrick, do we call these dolls? Do we call these microheroes? What would you call these?

Enjoy, and use them wisely. PLEASE DO NOT POST THESE TEMPLATES ON ANY OTHER SITE. You can use the temps and post your own micros using these temps, but, I don't want the naked temps in circulation yet.... thank you Edit - Santi has finished the template edit. See alternate temp posts.

Supernaut

I'm aware that there is now a character from Marvel called Supernaut. Taken from the Black Sabbath song of the same name, my Supernaut was created in the mid-90s. So, screw you, Marvel. Lol!
Supernaut

Hopefully, next week, I will have a tweeked Male Template and a Female Template to work off of. Santi is touching up the work that I've already done, which has been a great help!

I edited the Iceman micro to take out those four white spots on the legs, so it's now finished.

Patrick - I am looking for a Quebequois micro. Can you send me one via MIB? Thanks!

Any and all comments would be appreciated!

Enjoy.

Myndstreak

Just one micro today, as I am preparing a team that is 20-25 years in the making... This one is a bad guy who fights Cavalier a lot.
Myndstreak

I will make Cavalier later, too. If you don't know who Cavalier is, here is my old Big Head version of him...
Cavalier

Enjoy...

Tuesday, December 6, 2011

Three more today. As the blog grows, I will probably do about 3-4 a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Depends on my work schedule. Thing about it, my list of micros that I want to make for Super Earth has about 700 characters on it. As you can see from my post so far, and from my previous posts on MIB, I do have a set list of characters that I love, and they'll always be my key characters. Most of these you've seen, just not on this template.
Iceman - For Santi. This will not be Marvel's Iceman. He is a totally different character than Bobby.

Manifesto

Mystico, the Man of Wonder - Mystico's sidekick is Kid Chaos.

Enjoy...

My first post.....

I've developed a new template for micros. I've tried to go with a more realistic approach, giving my micros a head that is in proportion to their bodies, and fixing the dynamics of the body itself.

Kid Chaos - Coronasmasher

Danger Man - Stellaro

The Emissary

The final design was not by me, and I am unaware of who made the original design for Matt's Emissary. Thanks for creating such a dynamic character, Matt!
